If I could change anything in the Backgammon world, I would... count doubles as face value (for example 4-4 would equal 8 pips not 16). Does anyone know why or since when did a double roll result in the value of the roll being doubled, was there a time when a doublet was played at face value?
Additional comments: I recently founded a backgammon club in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Cincinnati Backgammon Players Club, web site www.CincyBG.com
